# Add a Policy Draft from an In-Progress Document

Users can upload a policy draft that was started outside Esper. To upload an in-progress policy draft: 

- From the *Workspace*, navigate to the left-hand side bar and click **Policy Project** under your department name.
- From the *Policy Project List View*, click the **Go to project** hyperlink to the right of the policy project's name
- From the *Policy Project Overview* page, click the **+** in the right corner of the *Policy Drafts* box
- Select the **Policy Type** you wish to upload from the list
- Select **New** from the *New or Existing*dropdown menu
- Select **Upload** from the *Template or Upload* dropdown menu

*Note: upload is the only option for Procedures*

- **Drag and Drop** or click **Select from Computer** to upload the file you wish

- Complete the remaining required fields

 Click **Add**
