In-App Reading Level Calculation

This functionality allows you to view the calculated reading level of the text within the Esper drafting environment. As you draft rule text and generate clean text, check your reading level in Esper, helping you ensure that your proposed rules are clear and easy to read.

Reading Level Calculation

We use the Flesch-Kincaid algorithm for calculating a reading grade-level score.

Text is split into sentences based on punctuation [period (.) and semicolon (;)]. Bulleted lists separate text between sentences. Tables are separated into sentences automatically.
