Smart Search is an AI tool that lets users quickly find policies, rules, or laws by asking plain-language questions. It delivers accurate, context-aware answers without needing to navigate complex documents.
Smart Search Module
To access the Smart Search module:
- Click the Tools dropdown from on any page in Esper
- Click Smart Search
- Or use the Smart Search side bar
- Tips for Prompting - Use these best practices to improve your search results.
- Bookmarked Conversations - Quick access to saved answers.
- Ask a Question - Type your question in plain language into the input box labeled “Ask a question…”, then press the arrow button or hit enter to submit.
- Suggested Prompts - Don’t know what to ask? Click one of the suggested prompts below the search box.
- All Responses - Browse your past searches and their answers.
- New Chat - Begin a fresh conversation with Smart Search.
Once you ask your question and get your answer, you will be taken into the chat.
Smart Search is conversational! Within the same chat, ask followup questions, ask it to give you more information, or go into more detail.
Smart Search Side Bar
You can also access Smart Search from anywhere within Esper without opening the full module.
- Click the Smart Search icon from the top navigation bar.
- The Smart Search tray will open on the right-hand side of your screen.
- Use all the same features you utilize in the full module, but from your workspace, projects, or document editor.
